You’ll be matched with a dedicated chef who comes on the same day each week, creating a consistent rhythm you can count on. Each week, you’ll receive a custom menu curated just for you, tailored to your tastes, dietary needs, and family favorites. You can review, approve, or request changes before your service day.
On your scheduled day, your dedicated chef arrives with groceries sourced from your preferred store and selected to your specifications. They’ll prepare your meals fresh in your kitchen, package everything in your Tupperware, and leave your kitchen spotless. You will come home to a fridge full of beautifully prepared meals, all that’s left for you to do is heat, eat, and enjoy.

Each contract is fully customized to the needs and rhythms of your household. Whether you're looking for full-time service with breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week or dinner service a few nights per week, we’ll tailor a package to fit your lifestyle.
Our hourly rate for private chef contracts starts at $70/hour, with a daily minimum/retainer in place to protect your chef’s time and ensure consistent, high-quality service.
We’ll work closely with you to build a contract that reflects your household’s preferences, schedule, and expectations — from everyday meals to elevated dining experiences.

We serve all of Atlanta and the surrounding suburbs. If your county touches Fulton County, there’s a good chance we can accommodate you!

This varies from family to family based on your household size, dietary needs, and preferences.
We guarantee that a core menu of 3 dinners, 1 lunch, 1 breakfast, and 1 snack, plus flex options, serving up to eight — can all be prepared within your chef’s 8 hour prep time. You’re not limited to this menu structure and welcome to fully customize your menu structure and portion sizes. If you’d like more meals or larger quantities, we’re happy to accommodate. Just note that menus requiring more than 8 hours of prep may include additional chef time at an added cost.

Your chef will send you a seasonal menu each week based on your preferences, dietary needs, and feedback. You’ll receive your proposed menu in advance with plenty of room to review, request changes, or add special requests. We want you to have as much input as you’d like, while we handle the heavy lifting.
We also keep a running record of your likes, dislikes, and evolving preferences to make sure your meals just keep getting better over time.

We don’t believe in locking you into anything. You’re welcome to cancel service at any time with a 30-day written notice.
This is a weekly service commitment to ensure consistency and stability for both you and your dedicated chef. Most of our families stay with us long-term because they love the experience and they value your chef as an extension of their family.
Salt & Prepped observes the following holiday weeks as optional service periods: Thanksgiving Week, Christmas Week, and New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day. Clients are not contractually obligated to receive service during these weeks, and bookings are at the discretion of each chef.
In addition to holiday weeks, each client is allowed up to three (3) flex weeks per calendar year, which may be used for travel, breaks, or schedule changes. To help us maintain smooth scheduling, flex weeks must be requested with at least 2 weeks’ notice and cannot be taken within 4 weeks of one another.
Outside of holiday and flex weeks, you have options to:
Use your prep day to stock your freezer
Send meals to friends or family
Donate meals to a local cause (e.g., fire station, hospital)
Give your chef a paid day off

We prepare your customized meals right in your kitchen. We bring the groceries, cook the meals, package them in your containers, and make sure to leave your kitchen cleaner than we found it.

We understand that inviting someone into your home is a big decision, which is why we go above and beyond to ensure your comfort. Our meal preppers are not only highly skilled and trained, but they also undergo thorough background checks for your peace of mind. Additionally, we are licensed, insured and follow all safety and health guidelines. We take extra care to respect your home, leaving your kitchen cleaner than we found it, and we are always open to communication to address any concerns you may have. Your comfort is our priority every step of the way. Expect that your chef will start to feel like an extension of your family.

That’s completely up to you! Once we’ve built trust and gotten into a routine, providing a door code or garage code for your chef to access your kitchen is all that’s needed.
This allows your chef to prepare meals even if you’re out, giving you maximum flexibility and convenience.

SAFETY POLICY: Your kitchen must have a fire extinguisher and fire blanket in an easily accessible location to ensure a safe working environment.
PAYMENT POLICY: Invoices must be paid within 24 hours. A $25 late fee will be applied each day beyond the due date. We accept all major credit cards. You can enroll in automatic payments (subject to a 4% processing fee) or set up a no-fee ACH bank transfer through QuickBooks.

RESPECT POLICY: Please respect your meal prepper's time and effort by confirming your menu no later than 4 PM the night before your scheduled prep day. This allows adequate time for planning and grocery sourcing. Your kitchen should be in working order upon arrival: countertops and sink cleared, dishwasher emptied, Tupperware containers ready, and enough space in the refrigerator for meal storage.
SICK POLICY: The health and safety of both our clients and chefs is a top priority. If a client notifies their chef that they are sick or experiencing symptoms of illness, the chef will offer the client one of two options. The first option is for the chef to prepare the scheduled meal in their own kitchen and deliver it to the client’s home in sealed, disposable containers. This is the only circumstance under which off-site cooking and delivery is permitted. The second option is for the chef to cook in the client’s home with full kitchen sanitation protocols including PPE, client separation, hand hygiene, sanitizing surfaces, etc. If the client does not agree to either of these two options, the booking will be considered a cancellation, and the client will be responsible for the standard cancellation fee as outlined in the service agreement.If a chef is feeling unwell or exhibiting symptoms of illness, they are required to notify both Salt & Prepped and the client as soon as possible, and must refrain from providing any in-person services. Salt & Prepped will make every effort to provide a replacement chef or reschedule the service at the client’s convenience. If neither option is possible, the client will not be charged a cancellation fee.
